Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk and Humanitarian Response

UDAD-U champions inclusive disaster risk management in Uganda's refugee camps, addressing the needs of refugees with disabilities to foster equity, accessibility, and resilience.

Ubuntu Disability Action for Development is committed to promoting inclusive disaster risk management and humanitarian responses in Uganda’s refugee camps. We advocate for the integration of disability-inclusive approaches in all stages of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery to ensure no one is left behind.

Our work focuses on addressing the unique needs of refugees with disabilities by improving accessibility to essential services, providing assistive devices, and training humanitarian actors on inclusive practices. By prioritizing equity and dignity, we strive to create safer, more resilient refugee communities where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.
