About Us | Who we are
The Ubuntu Disability Action for Development Uganda (UDAD-U) is a non-profit research organization that advocates for the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities in the mainstream development process.
Ubuntu Disability Action for Development actively promotes the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. We eliminate barriers and create equal opportunities by advocating, building capacity, and implementing innovative programs in key areas, including inclusive education, economic empowerment, disaster risk preparedness, and humanitarian response.
At UDAD-U, we focus on the individual, including both men and women, as well as young people with disabilities. We advocate for their right to inclusion and equal access to education, employment, and health and social services within their communities.
Our VISION
A society for all, where persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to effectively participate in decision-making processes and fully exercise their rights.
Our MISSION
To achieve equality in access to social services and improve the livelihoods of persons with disabilities in Uganda.
